Let us pray for the repose of the souls of Ron Pele, Charles Hall, Lee Jones, William Cordrop, Ina, Ed Price, Eddie and Sally Melendez. May Jesus comfort their family and friends at this time of loss. Rejoice with me in the folllowing praise report: John, a 9 year old, who was hospitalized for a transplant surgery for his small intestines, is back home and recovering well. Luke 13:11-13...And a woman was there who for eighteen years had been crippled by a spirit; she was bent over, completely incapable of standing erect. When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said, "Woman, you are set free of your infirmity," He laid His hands on her, and she at once stood up and glorified God. A prayer of Thanksgiving to a wonderful group who welcomed us so warmly last for daily morning Mass. We felt so at home from their warmth and evident love. How I wish that I could write a note to each but my feeble mind can't recall all their names. God bless them all and thanks for the priests who serve tham.

Matt Peterson and Kristi Gough were killed in a cycling accident involving a driver who fell asleep at the wheel. A good friend of Mary Peterson, Matt Peterson’s sister, asks us to pray for these two souls and encourage others to pray for the 3 victims, their families and the driver who caused this tragedy. The friend (Cathleen Gillies) wrote: “Matt lived in our neighborhood in Potrero Hill, just imagining that perhaps once he came to our church of St. Teresa of Avila really is profound or that we shared coffee at one of the local spots. Ah may our smiles have led them with hope.” And, while death seems so final, with Easter soon upon us, we are reminded of Life after death. Cathleen also shared information about Matt’s sister that gives us an opportunity to pray for new life as Mary Peterson is one of the founders of Maggie's Place (in Arizona). Cathleen wrote that Maggie’s Place is “a home for single expecting mothers that empowers them with love, peace and skills to encourage them to have healthy and holy children to grow in faith hope and love during their gifted journey. This too is our opportunity for evangelizing and supporting one of our devout catholic families living their faith. I know from the years of witnessing Mary's sacrificing that she truly is a special special person serving constantly.” Here is a link of Kristi and Matt's brief stories: http://www.xtri.com/features_display.aspx?riIDReport=4538&CAT=25&xref= > xx > =xx>
