"A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter; he who finds one finds a treasure. A faithful friend is beyond a price, no sum can balance his worth."

There is much good work to be done. We encourage all of you to get involved in what interests you. Please let us know where you can contribute your leadership and talents, so we can continue to strengthen our community of faith, service, and friendship.
Our Steering Committee members are listed below:
Paul Boyer originally an Ohioan (and Miami University alum!) moved to San Francisco in June 2008 and found St. Vincent de Paul Parish and the Young Adult Group soon after. Paul has a passion for making people feel welcomed and involved in our faith community and is working to grow the active membership base of the group. Paul thanks his parents for their strong faith and support and credits their example for his desire to be an active member of his parish. Paul works for Genentech in South San Francisco and enjoys being outdoors, skiing, and volunteering in his free time.
Jonas Malalang became a parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul in late 2008 after moving from the East Bay. He is blessed to find a community of like minded young adults that interested in growing their faith. Raised in Alaska, Jonas enjoys the outdoors and takes full advantage of San Francisco and surrounding areas by running, skiing, and cycling. Jonas works for a construction management company as an assistant project manager and is an alumnus of Oregon State University.
Courtney O'Hagan has been a member of St. Vincent De Paul's Young Adult Group since 2008 and the parish since 2009. Courtney is native to the Bay Area and is excited to be back home rooting for the SF Giants, the 49ers, watching Notre Dame football from a distance, and rediscovery all that the bay area has to offer. Although she works as an attorney in the east bay, Courtney loves living in San Francisco and being a part of the SVDP parish.
Derrick Pallas moved from Kansas City to California in high school and hasn't looked back. He spent a number of years in Davis and was active at the Newman center there before moving back to the Bay Area. To avoid a commute, he stopped by the young adult group and has been a member ever since. During the day, he does something related to computers for Riverbed Technology; in his free time, you're likely to find him practicing yoga, rock climbing, or swing dancing. He dares you to best him at pub quiz.
